THE Peel region’s rural producers will be able to sell their wares at the Peel Farmers Market set to be held at McLarty Oval in Pinjarra.
This will allow the community to have direct access to regional farmers selling and promoting their produce and value-added products at the market.
Peel Farmers Market chairperson Lex Langridge said they wanted consumers to experience a wide range of product freshly harvested and ready to sample straight from the grower.
“We feel that by working together as a farmers market, we will collaboratively create and expand the regional community and provide fresh food products that are locally owned and controlled,” Mr Langridge said.
“What you will take home will be fresh, seasonal and full of flavour, with the added benefit of knowing the person or family that produced the food.”
The Bendigo Bank in Pinjarra has provided funds to set up the market including the purchase of marquees and signage.
The plan is for the markets to be open weekly starting on December 6.
